In the late 70’s, spectators at Federal Speedway watched a twenty-something Glenn Taylor turn laps on dirt in a Chevy Vega. Now, nearly 30 years later, fans at Coastal Plains Raceway (CPR) watch him run a ’79 Monte Carlo around the 4/10 mile asphalt facility. A lot has changed for Taylor over the years but one thing remains the same, his preference for Chevrolet.

Taylor has raced two different cars during his four-year career at CPR; both were ’79 Monte Carlos. After two mediocre years in the beginning, Taylor began improving tremendously. In 2005 he finished fourth in the final standings and last year he ended up 3rd. With a top ten in every race in ‘06 Taylor has definitely proved he belongs on the track.

Next year he plans on staying in the Street Stock class and he hopes to muscle his way to the winner’s circle.
