Greg Warren, of Ernul, finished the 2006 season 2nd in Street Stock points. With one win, ten top 5’s and after driving his ’84 Monte Carlo to within 68 points of the championship, 43-year-old Warren was a true competitor for the title. He began racing at Coastal Plains Raceway (CPR) in 2001. He drove an ’83 Oldsmobile in the Street Stock class. In 2003, Warren switched to the ’84 Monte Carlo that he currently drives. 2004 was Warren’s most memorable season. His father, Julies, was attending a race in which Warren finished up front and they had their picture taken together. After a lot of success and some fond memories, Warren is unsure of his future at CPR.
“I’m going to be
somewhere,” he said. “but I’m not sure where.”
